Featuring the largest collection of espionage artifacts in the world, the International Spy Museum is an immersive experience into the clandestine world of spies. From lipstick pistols and cyanide eyeglasses to Confederate ciphers and buttonhole cameras, the DC Spy museum's artifacts showcase the ingenuity and art of spycraft throughout the history of the modern age. Step into the shadows to learn more about the covert world of espionage through interactive exhibits, real spy interviews and lectures from museum historians. After training, test your wits and your skills with Operation Spy, an immersive, adrenaline-fueled spy adventure for ages 12 and up.

    Situated in Pennsylvania Quarter neighborhood, the International Spy Museum is located in downtown Washington, DC and stretches the entire city block between 9th and 8th Streets at 800 F Street, NW. To visit the International Spy Museum, it's advisable to take the Metro. The museum is only one block from the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro Station.
  • are there additional charges for extra exhibits or experiences?

    One of the most popular activities of the museum is the Operation Spy experience, which is an hour-long, fully-immersive spy 'op' that tests your wits as a covert operative. You can also test your covert abilities through Spy in the City, an interactive, GPS-based device that takes you through Washington, DC for various missions. Both Operation Spy and Spy in the City cost $14.95 and are well-worth their cost.
