U.S. Capitol Building: guided Tours & congress viewings

Sitting atop of "The Hill," the U.S. Capitol Building is the nerve center of American politics and legislation. A must-visit sightseeing destination, the U.S. Capitol is also an active, in-session American landmark that continues to represent the nation's democracy. Stand in awe under the iconic, 180-foot Rotunda by taking a guided tour. You'll also see the artifacts of the Crypt and National Statuary Hall. Or, take a self-guided tour to experience the interactive displays, marble statues and models of Exhibition Hall, the only exhibit in the world dedicated to the history of the U.S. Congress. If Congress is in session, witness legislation and history in the making from the Senate and House viewing galleries.
